Quiz: Red Eye & Larvae

A 15-year-old male presents with a red eye present since awaking that day. He reports that he “removed a number of larvae” from his right eye earlier that morning. Now the eye is red, congested, and has a foreign body sensation. Visual acuity is 20/20 uncorrected in either eye. On slit lamp examination, one “larvae” is still present in the lower fornix. The eyelids, eye lashes, cornea, and anterior chamber are all found to be normal.
