Simulated Surgery: Corneoscleral Laceration Repair

This video demonstrates how to create and then repair a corneoscleral laceration using an SOS Advanced Strabismus eye. The life-like conjunctiva, tenons capsule and rectus muscles enable the surgeon to practice dissecting at the site of the laceration to determine its extent and then to repair the laceration by restoring the normal limbal anatomy and placing appropriate sutures in the sclera and cornea.

In addition to Cybersight, you can find videos featuring teaching techniques for all types of ocular surgery, using any form of simulation, in the Simulation Gallery.
