A 66-year-old female presents with a sudden onset of decreased vision in the right eye two days prior. Visual acuity is counting fingers right eye and 20/30 left eye. The patient’s past medical history is significant for hypertension and frequent aspirin usage. Family history is positive for age-related macular degeneration on the patient’s maternal side (mother and aunt) and diabetes on the paternal side (father and brother).
