About Me:

In addition to teaching residents and fellows in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Indiana University, Dr. Neely also teaches extensively in developing countries around the world as a volunteer faculty member with Orbis International, an ophthalmology teaching organization famous for its MD-10 Flying Eye Hospital and its Cybersight Telemedicine Program, which Dr. Neely helps to direct. As a global expert, Dr. Neely specializes in all aspects of Pediatric Ophthalmology including: glasses and refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism), amblyopia (lazy eye), surgical and nonsurgical treatments for eye muscle disorders (strabismus), pediatric cataracts and intraocular lens implants, pediatric glaucoma, retinoblastoma, hemangiomas, eyelid surgeries (ptosis), dermoids, retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and telemedicine.

Why did you want to become a Cybersight Mentor?

The opportunity to help others to provide the best possible eye care to their patients is infinitely rewarding and has been a highlight of my career. Orbis and Cybersight are all about sustainability, mentoring, and skills transfer.
