About Me:
In addition to teaching residents and fellows in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Anuradha Super Speciality Eye Hospital, which is the National Board of Exams Recognised Center for DNB in ophth, Dr. Milind also teaches extensively in developing countries around the world as a volunteer faculty member with Orbis International, an ophthalmology teaching organization famous for its MD-10 Flying Eye Hospital and its Cybersight Telemedicine Program, which Dr. Milind helps to direct. As a global expert, Dr. Milind specializes in all aspects of Pediatric Ophthalmology, including glasses and refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism), amblyopia (lazy eye), surgical and nonsurgical treatments for eye muscle disorders (strabismus), pediatric cataracts and intraocular lens implants, pediatric glaucoma, retinoblastoma, hemangiomas, eyelid surgeries (ptosis), and telemedicine. Dr Milind also takes an active part in Rotary International, volunteering in the squint project at Mauritius and teaching squint to consultants there.
Why did you want to become a Cybersight Mentor?
I am a passionate teacher. I love shaping newcomers. I believe whatever I have learned over the years has to be passed on to the next generation because somebody passed it on to me. And by giving the knowledge, it doesn’t reduce; it multiplies.
