About Me:
Dr. Sarah Wassnig-Riglar B.Optom(OcThera), MPH, MCOptom, is an Australian optometrist with experience practicing in rural, metropolitan and international settings, education and public health. Dr Wassnig-Riglar has a clinical interest in paediatric care and has complemented her clinical care with both teaching and program development. Dr Wassnig-Riglar is passionate about expanding the role of optometry within primary health settings to improve the availability and accessibility of ocular healthcare. She currently lives and works in London.
Why did you want to become a Cybersight Mentor?
I am a Cybersight mentor because I believe in Orbis’ mission and its approach to addressing the global concerns of avoidable blindness through clinician training. It is a privilege to work on Orbis projects and Cybersight programs, passing on the clinical expertise I have been lucky enough to receive from my mentors and then learn from the international colleagues I am discussing topics with. To belong to such a large international community whose sole focus is on improving patient outcomes through collaborative care is really something special.
