A 72-year-old African American male complains of 3-4 days of blurry vision, flashes, floaters and lightheadedness. His medical history is notable for stroke, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. His vision is 20/30 right eye and 20/20 in the left eye. His external and anterior exams are unremarkable. His fundus photos and fluorescein angiogram at 36 seconds (A) and 1 minute 4 seconds (B) are shown.
Thank you so much for your case. I beg your pardon to disagree with few points. The ocular ischemic syndrome may manifest on fluorescein angiography both delayed choroidal filling and retinal filling of arteries and capillaries. I wonder if HIV will manifest as a unilateral vasculopathy?
What a brain teaser!
