Surgery: Pediatric Glaucoma Surgery: 360-degree Trabeculotomy using External Approach

In this video, the procedure of a 360-degree trabeculotomy using an external approach is demonstrated. The process begins similarly to a traditional external trabeculotomy, with the creation of a flap using a guarded blade. A radial incision is made, and a Prolene suture is threaded to confirm placement in Schlemm’s canal. A lighted microcatheter is then inserted, allowing for better visibility as it is guided around the canal. The procedure concludes successfully with the catheter making a complete circuit around Schlemm’s canal.
