For the first Question: Dua’s layer is the sixth layer of the cornea… or not
A sixth layer of the cornea, Dua’s layer, was reported in 2013. It is reported to be only 15 microns thick and located between the corneal stroma and Descemet’s membrane. The existence of this as a true 6th layer remains controversial.
